CoARC – Collaborative Architecture

In the last year architecture:nw has become a founding practice of CoARC.  CoARC is a joint venture architectural practice that is formed from the collaboration of two West Midlands based practices; Fleming James Architects and architecture:nw.

CoARC has been formed to enable the practices to combine and work together under a single umbrella company. The directors of both practices previously worked together at one of the UKs largest architectural firms.

The purpose of CoARC is to provide a flexible and adaptable resource to clients that constitutes a highly experienced hands on practice with the benefits that come from a small enterprise (such as low overheads, and readily identifiable and continuous points of contact), coupled with the experience and approach to delivering projects, as well as the technical abilities typical of a larger architectural firm.

CoARC is currently delivering project work with developer, school, community, education and private clients, both locally and nationally. It’s an exciting time, and we are looking forward to some exciting forthcoming projects and expanding our client base in the future.

Over the last year we’ve been pooling resources and experience and developing this new collaborative venture. As well as working on some exciting new projects with new clients, we have been merging our workflows and some of the recent a:nw projects are being completed by CoARC.
